I'm afraid my ps2's laser will die someday so I looked up and made myself an ulaunchelf disc. It runs OPL just fine, but I don't want to rely on the disc forever. I tried running the fmcb installer through ulaunchelf but got a black screen and now I'm completely lost.
So my question is : Can I install fmcb using my ulaunchelf disc or do I have to use other methods?
I'm using a PS2 slim 7001.
Any help will be appreciated :D
Thanks for reading.

Give 1.8 a shot.
I'm assuming you made the ulaunch disk using a exploitable game or disc swap?

Also check your memory card storage
My ps2 can run burned disks, so I can just put the ulaunchelf disk in and it runs normally.
But yeah I'll give 1.8 a shot and will check my free space later.
I have another question : Can a Slim 7000 run free mcboot? And I saw people having ulaunchelf option in their ps2 menu, how did they do that?

7000 series can run it. ulaunchelf being on the ps2 menu is because of freemcboot being installed.

Should be able to install it the way you are trying. That's how I installed mine on a modded ps2 with a laser well past it's best. Ulaunchelf on disc, then used that to run installer. Worked fine for me.

I cleared up some space and finally got it working! :D Thanks a lot guys
But when I boot up games using OPL 0.9.3 they all stuck on green screen, but when I boot up using OPL 0.9.2 they boot up normally. It's really strange, anybody have an idea?
