Hacking Can I install CFW from 4.84.2?

I'm a big noob to PS3 hacking and a lot of guides online seem to be incomplete or referring to older firmwares or people already on CFW. I was wondering if I could install Rebug directly from 4.84.2 or if I have to downgrade or something. My eventual goal if possible is to get whatever equivalent of PKGj PS3 has so I can play digital exclusives that have been or will be taken down. Is there anything I can do? Any guides for me to follow? Am I just out of luck? I've already moved to 4.84.2 and have installed HAN.

EDIT: I'd like to note I am NOT looking for links to .pkg files for PS3 games. I'm strictly looking for how to get my PS3 on to Rebug and install things like Multiman and Multistore.

I'm on a Fat PS3 but not the original run as it does not support PS2 discs.

You need to install 4.84 HFW (Hybrid FirmWare) and install the web exploit through http://ps3xploit.com, installing any CFW afterwards. At the current time, the Writer you need to do this has not been made for 4.84, only 4.82. Hypothetically, you could use an E3 Flasher to downgrade your PS3 Fat to an exploitable OFW instead, but that requires disassembling the PS3, and dumping, altering, and flashing the system memory back onto the PS3.

The PKGj equivalent for PS3 is a Windows program, NPS Browser.

You can install the .PKG of Multiman using the PS3's CFW's Package Installer function.

Alright thanks. I guess I'll wait for the writer to be written because I don't exactly feel comfortable taking apart my PS3.
