So I'm selling my switch oled and someone asked me for the serial number.
Are there reasons why I shouldnt or can I safely tell him?
Thanks in advance

Never give out the whole serial number. Telling them the first few digits won't do any harm, but as above there's no actual point because the reason for checking serial numbers for hackability only applies to V1 Switches and not OLED.

They most likely want to see if it is unpatched.

Give em the first few digits.
That should suffice

wait. I'm stupid.
OLEDs are all patched...

Don't give em the serial.
I also assumped that he asked for cfw but if it were hackable w/o soldering a chip, I would keep it myself :P

Anyway told him that if he's asking because of cfw that it would pointless anyway.
