years ago I bought a fake copy of Pokémon Platinum for 2€ from a local flee market. I always thought that the game doesn’t work and is completely non functional. I tried it on my 3DS and DSi XL and had absolutely no success. Only an error (see picture)… Like 2 weeks ago I got a Nintendo DS lite and tried the game again on that one. And voila…. the game actually booted up and there‘s even a savestate with 50 hours of playtime but it needs about 2 minutes to save. Now I want to import the savestate from the cartridge with GM9 and Checkpoint on my 3DS. But it doesn’t work. GM9 only shows 3 files named YJLOADER…YJYJ02_00.nds, YJLOADER…YJYJ02_00.nds.enc and YJLOADER…YJYJ02_00.txt (see pictures). I also tried backing up the .sav via Checkpoint and TWL on my 3DS but I had no success. It only outputs a 0kb .sav that doesn’t load up.
So I‘m asking you guys since I have no idea how to get it done. I already looked up "YJLOADER" and there‘s actually a thread on GBATemp from 2009. So I‘m guessing the game was produced in early 2009 (the thread says it was produced in Taiwan) and only worked on the DS lite and (maybe) early firmware versions of the DSi. I‘ve heard that they implemented a piracy protection in later DSi firmware updates (my DSi XL is on version 1.4E)….
Is there any way to extract the savestate?
