Hacking Can i downgrade my emuMMC if i enable no autogc?

Hi, I activated no autoGC in hekate a few days ago because of the whole game card reader issue, ive heard it burns fuses and other stuff so i wonder now, can i downgrade from 9.0 to 8.1? been thinking about it because of the amount of issues there are on 9.0 at the moment

If you didn't update the gamecard reader firmware to 9.0, you can always downgrade to 8.1.0 and also boot with official nintendo bootloader.

I did update gamecard reader to 9.0 because i updated the official way in my clean sysnand, i just want to know if enabling that option in hekate did something so i couldnt downgrade my emummc anymore

If you have updated your gamecard reader to 9.0, you can't use the gamecard reader on lower firmware anymore. Doesn't matter if you would boot to eMMC or emuMMC on 8.1.0, you can't use gamecards.

yea i dont care about gamecards in my emummc that much, having problems with homebrew applications is a bigger issue for me

You can downgrade but don't try to inject a game card. It will give you a fatal error. The latest hekate release enables nogc by default if you have updated the gc reader firmware to 9.0.0 but boot emuMMC to 8.1.0. That protects you from the fatal error.

so i didnt burn any fuses that prevented me to downgrade? thats cool i guess, thanks
