Hacking Can a DVD Compatible Wii read a Project M DVD?

I've got an older model Wii with BootMii installed on Boot2 and DVD Compatibility, I've created a Project M ISO using Brawl Builder, and I was curious as to whether or not I could burn it to a Dual Layer DVD and play Project M from an actual disk, either via the System Menu or USBLoader GX, or do I need a modchip. And if I can run a Project M DVD, does anyone know anyone who specializes in creating Custom DVD skins and cases, similar to how custom boxart and labels were a thing for reproduction carts for older carts?

Nowadays, you can just use NeoGamma and have cIOSes installed to play burned DVDs. No need for modchips.
