I was on a site (it was anime related) and this message came uo. I looked it up and apparently its from the moneyoak virus. but I was nver downloading to my dsi. It only has the alert(I went to it twice was confused thinking it was a actual FBI message lol when I go to that site. but computer users say it locks them out of their internet. it doesnt for me will I be ok?

oh ok thats good. yeah I was not sure because this is a virus that targets computers. But I have heard mixed answers when looking up this question online some people say the dsi can get viruses. they may be wrong.nd I have heard of a trojan called DSbrick which can effect the ds but not sure about the DSI.but that happens when someone downloads a bad app to a flash-cart.

DSBrick only affects the DS system settings on anything newer than a DS Phat. I ran it on an unmodified DS Lite (not recommended) and it just wiped the settings. Same with the DSi.

Some people are idiots. There is no way the DSi can get a virus. The only thing there ever was was DS bricker, and the only way to get that is by purposely downloading something with it on a flashcard and then run it.

Another way is downloading and running bricker with name and icon of Mario Party DS rom. (That happened to me.)

I don't know, there might be if you go on a certain website on the browser, the only thing that could happen is that it might brick your DSi forever, not sure if something else might happen as well. Remember, nothing is safe on the internet

This is the second thread you bumped.

How old does a thread gotta be before it cannot get bumped?
Some forums I go to define it as being ~30 days. But from what I've observed here and some other forums, time elapsed since last post is less important than the content of the (bumping) post.

I believe the case here is classified as one because there has been a slight (albeit not that long imho) lapse of inactivity, and the question appears to have been accurately(?) answered. In addition to that, the post does not seem to add to the discussion.

EDIT: LOL ninja-ed

I just entered in this thread for fun; to see all of the dumb questions regarding the topic. Seriously, there isn't any way (so far) for a computer virus to affect a console that isn't capable of run unsigned PC code...
