Camera app for Nintendo Switch 1 and switch lite - Help needed

Hello everyone, i had an idea to build a homebrew app that could allow nintendo switch 1 and lites to be able to use third party webcams to take pictures or videos, and save them to a gallery like the 3DS. I was going well with the project but i don't have the hardware needed, and i can't install devkitpro as i am short on storage no matter how many projects i free. i have a switch, but what i don't have is a webcam. but i wanted to build the project anyway. i posted it here cuz i don't have enough storage on my laptop to install devkitpro, and i can't afford either storage or the webcam, that's why i asked if anyone could help with the project. plus, why call me a bot and be so offensive? do i sound like a bot? why are you being so rude? you call my project "ai slop" but i used ai only for the documentation, so that the next dev will know where to take from, cuz i was already overloaded.

i want to eventually get a webcam, but i won't right now. and i thought this could be a fun project, cuz i saw psp with cameras and it gave me the idea. well, i'm deeply sorry if i'm pissing everyone off with what i'm proposing honestly

i'm investing myself to it. i just have a lot of other projects to complete, and i don't want to give up the idea. plus, building foundations is better than having the idea in my opinion, so half code is a good starting point. i might be wrong though

I called it ai slop not just simply because you made it with AI, but because it does nothing you described in og post. It's just a mockup showing test image - at least that's what i read from your source code because the crucial part is just "TODO".

And a tip - you can use docker on GitHub to compile this for you. Devkitpro ships a docker image.

I called it ai slop not just simply because you made it with AI, but because it does nothing you described. It's just a mockup showing test image - at least that's what i read from your source code because the crucial part is just "TODO".

i couldn't go ahead without devkitpro, and as i said in my earlier message i'm not in the ability to learn homebrew dev at the moment, so i developed the capture myself and at some point i continued with ai cuz i was really confused. the role of the mockup is to test the live feed, since i didn't have a webcam, it's a placeholder for where the camera frames will be observed. maybe i did the documentation badly, i'm sorry

I suggest to always use real hw to make/test things, blind dev is frustrating and lead to non working stuff. on USB is also the worst type of dev since vendors always misuse standards. trust me. with usb dvd/bd drives without real hw i I wouldn't have encountered a lot of edge cases.
