Hacking Buying a 3.61 Ps Vita => How to hack it ?

Hi folks,

I’m about to receive my 3.61 Ps Vita and I want to hack it in order to emulate all retro stations + play PS1 and PSP through Adrenaline.
I’m getting a little lost cause I’ve mastered the art of hacking PSPs fifteen years ago but with the vita it seems quite different.

I understand that I have to downgrade to 3.60, but i’ve read that I have to install a custom firmware to downgrade to 3.60.
And here I’m lost.

Anyone has a structured method or step by step thread to hack my 3.61 vita to 3.60 to play retro games and use SD2VITA ?

you don't have to downgrade to 3.60, but I recommend it if the system can be downgraded to that. all American and European systems should be good, but Japanese systems are an issue.

why are they an issue

the vita can only downgrade to a base firmware, some Japanese vitas cannot be downgraded to 3.60 as they came with higher than that.

do you have to upgrade 3.60 enso to the 3.65 enso or can you install enso on 3.65 directly?

that's the downgrading part. it's unlikely it won't downgrade to 3.60, but it's possible. it mentions that in there.

some Japanese systems can't even downgrade to 3.65 afaik, so you're stuck with henkaku only.
