Hi guys,

unfortunatly my dsl broke and i was hoping you could give me any suggestions...

- should i buy a dsl or dsi!?

i have a r4 and i found out that the cart won't work if i decide to buy the dsi.
i'm not sure what to do... or what is better -beside the r4-

thx in advance

DSi is the way to go, just don't update if you want to keep playing with the flash carts.
Thats like being on a DSL but better

hehe... the only thing that concerns me is, that i am from europe (austria),
and i've read that the dsi from europe have higher securities with the flashcarts...

can someone confirm this experience!?

hehe...

well so there aren't any problems if i would buy the suggesting ak2i for the dsi =) thats a relieve

thx for your help guys!

I would suggest either:
1. A DSi and an AK2i or
2. A NDSL with either an EDGE or an AK2i.

If you get an AK2i, run AKAIO on it.
I would not buy another AK2, even with an NDSL.
I use an 8GB class 6 MicroSDHC with both my EDGE and my AK2i.
The EDGE is very simple to setup and use, especially concerning saves, cheats and themes.
The AK2i is probably the best to buy, but it is a bit more complicated to setup and learn.

If you get a DSi, you should also get an SDHC card for music files (in .m4a format).
I am using a 16GB SDHC on my NDSi.

If you intend to use slot 2 hardware to play GBA games or if you want to use GBA carts when playing DS Pokemon or use other devices that fit in the GBA slot, like Guitar Hero's adapter, you should not get a DSi, because it has no slot 2.

I no longer use my NDSL/EDGE since I got my DSi and learned how to setup my AK2i with AKAIO.
Your mileage may vary.
