Hey guys.
Is there a way to burn GCM (iso?) ROMS to a disk without using POT adjusting? Is there some sort of data that is on a normal gamecube disk that I can add to a GCM file that will let it run on my wii?
Thanks!

GCM files are just ISOs with a different name. MIOS checks the burst code area of the disc just like the Gamecube did when booting a disc. If that's missing/invalid it won't boot. You'd need a mod chip or a homebrew GC loader.

If you're going to try burning backups make sure you write them at the slowest speed possible. The tolerance of Nintendo optical drives is set minimally to help prevent what you want to do. :)

Isn't there a special file that is created when using CleanRip that you can use to burn Wii games?

CleanRip makes ISO files. If you're using a FAT32 drive it can automatically split them into chunks so they'll fit on the drive. You can link them back together on your PC and have the whole ISO again. It might make a cue sheet but I don't remember. :P

No i remember reading that there was a file also generated other than an ISO that I heard was supposed to be used for burning discs?

Oh, it generates a file with the ISO's hash value in it so you can verify it. I think it also makes a small binary file with the BCA code in it too but Wii USB loaders have since worked around requiring that as far as I know.

How can BCAs be used for burning to disc? Is it possible to add it to the GCM or Wii rom then use ImgBurn and burn it?

I'm not sure how it was handled originally, maybe part of the WBFS header? For ISOs the loader redirect the BCA request to read the .bca file instead. On a real disc the burst cutting code is read as part of the disc media info (which includes whether it's a pressed disc, CD or DVD, +/-R, etc.)

WBFS? Does that mean if I convert a wii rom to WBFS I would be able to add a BCA?s Sorry for typos, I have a bad computer.

You don't need the .BCA files. Just use Wii Backup Manager to transfer the ISOs to your HDD. It will put everything where it belongs automatically.

The latest versions of USB Loader GX, WiiFlow and CFG Loader don't need the BCA data.

all you need is smash bros, a sd card and the smashstack exploite.
then if you install a custom mios you can boot gc games of a dvd if your wii drive is the one before nintendo fixed it. on a gamecube you can use a program called gcos 1.5 to boot off mini dvds with out mod chips. you just need a method to boot homebrew like the max media launcher. its hit or miss with the laser strength.
i have 4 gamecube and only 2 read the burns with out adjustments.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
