Umm, there have only been 5 Halo games. And one of them has been really different than the other ones.DeltaBurnt said:YayMii said:So many Halo haters... I doubt anybody has played Marathon, Oni or Myth.

Yah but once you get to the 6quel it starts to get ridiculous.
I've played Halo, it's over-rated.YayMii said:Umm, there have only been 5 Halo games. And one of them has been really different than the other ones.DeltaBurnt said:YayMii said:So many Halo haters... I doubt anybody has played Marathon, Oni or Myth.

And Bungie's multi-platform game isn't Halo. So STFU.

And it won't be Halo, as Halo (as of after Reach is released) belongs to Microsoft.DeltaBurnt said:"Today we are very proud to announce a ground breaking ten year partnership between Bungie, one of the greatest developers in the world and the makers of Halo, with Activision, the number one video game publisher, who will bring the new intellectual property to fans worldwide across all platforms," said Thomas Tippl, Chief Operating Officer of Activision Blizzard.YayMii said:QUOTEDeltaBurnt said:YayMii said:So many Halo haters... I don't know what that multi-platform game you're talking about is, but I never mentioned it.
And 5 games is still quite a lot.
YayMii said:EDIT: What about Final Fantasy? There's been at least 30 different games in that series.
Mario?DeltaBurnt said:YayMii said:EDIT: What about Final Fantasy? There's been at least 30 different games in that series.
Yah and there's many Final Fantasies that I'm not happy with.
I see Final Fantasy as atleast a little better than Halo because they get different battle systems, completely new stories, different graphics, different consoles, etc.

I dunno. Maybe FPS games are becoming obsolete (shmups). I don't really understand why so many people hate Halo, because it's just the same as any other FPS. I kinda noticed that a lot of people who hate Halo are PS3 or CoD fanboys.DeltaBurnt said:Also it's kind of different with an FPS. There's only so many things you can do with a FPS game before it just becomes "Blah".

@DeMoN: It's a 10-year deal.

YayMii said:Well, personally, I think Halo's kinda bad 'cause Bungie messed with the formula too much. They added some cumbersome stuff, removed some stuff, changed the physics, removed tricks that made the game more fun (although it made the game more realistic, it really didn't need to be), etc.
And you Halo haters probably didn't hate Halo when it first came out.
Obviously. The first Halo was awesome, the problem was they made the first game awesome but no further attempts to make the sequels any better save for a couple of minor things.

That's kinda what a sequel is. Outside of some games, most sequels don't stray much from the original formula. What Halo did in terms of sequels is pretty textbook for most sequels. Take the original game formula, add a new campaign, and expand on the formula.
