Thanks for the advice-but i literally know nothing when it comes to gaming pc's that i want it to be fast and be able to play current games very well. Im not too sure on specifics lol

The Windows drive itself should just be formatted to NTFS. Windows Vista and 7 don't even need to reformat the drive when re-installing - it'll just move the Windows folder (and the Users and Program Files folders) to "Windows.old" and install fresh.
@Zetta, HP and Dell both have a nasty tendency to use the cheapest parts they can find in bulk. This usually means Foxconn and Buffalo and sometimes even unbranded PSUs.
