OK, I just got a call from my brother that he's been having a lot of issues with his computer. Blue screens and network issues, specifically.

Specs: Q9550 CPU, HD 4870X2 gfx, 1kW Tagan PSU, a whole load of HDDs, Arctic Freezer 7 cooler, CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 case. ASUS MoBo, but I can't remember the model number.

BSoDs, I don't know how to read crash dump reports, so I'll upload them when I'm home from work for Rydian or anybody else well versed in crash dumps to kindly analyse for me.

Network issues, intermittent or constant dropping of network signal. It's connected via HomePlug for now, which he says is the cause of it. It does have WiFi built into the MoBo, but the signal is too weak to work properly. We also have an ethernet cable running up the stairs that he's using now, but Ethernet is not ideal. I'll need to determine if the HomePlug is really causing it, and if so, how to fix it.

I'll post more details as I find out, when I'm home from work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok, here's the latest minidump for it (link). I could also upload the full memory dump if needed, but since it's 700MB it might not be worth it.

The computer's currently using the ethernet cable from upstairs to downstairs (via 10/100 ethernet hub) which is stable enough to play games, so I don't think it's the motherboard's LAN port. I can't rule out LAN drivers because I don't know how HomePlug is recognised by drivers.

Yeah full memory dumps are usually used for windows bug testing and driver developer testing, the minidumps contain all the usable information for troubleshooting.

The kernel was involved, but it looks like dxgmms1.sys+37ab8 was the cause here. I don't recognize that one, but a quick google leads to "update video and motherboard chipset drivers".
