When burning PSone game you burn at the lowest speed, but when doing PS2 isos you burn at the highest speed. Am I correct? Also are Maxwell DVD-Rs good quality for the PS2. MY dad has a pack of them and I wanted to make sure if they are good quality before he tries to return them and I have to go buy some.

Doesn't matter the game - burn at a slow speed.

Also, I would try using Verbatim DVDs instead of Maxwell. Maxwell is a pretty cheap brand.

ps1 are cdr you can get away with burning a bit faster I used to do mine at 12x

its when its DVDR you have to watch how fast you burn ... although others say they have success at faster speeds I tend to stick to 2.4x for mine and only use RITEK G05 media as for me with my PIONEER burners they work the best

ok most of you say slow and/or 2.4x so I'll try that but just wondering......what does the writing speed matter....what will be different if i brun at this slow speed rather than a fast one

also I put the 6V wiper motor back in
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
and it runs off of a potentiometer so it doesn't get 12V
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
reason being is the 12V motor parks the wipers in the wrong place every time
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
6V wiper motor is the key ingredient. parks nice and low
