Fair enough, but if they did their job properly, then it shouldn't. :P

You can do your job properly until your blue in the face daily, however no matter how well you do you job you're never going to be 100% secure when going up against a rogue access point and an out of date browser with plenty of publicly disclosed exploits against it. They could have enabled HSTS and disabled sending data over the HTTP protocol completely (which is the industry standard for doing their job right) however that still would not be a surefire means of protection, it would just make it harder to use a MITM attack.

My friend asked me to post this message on behalf of him. It's not working for him. If anyone could suggest something for him to try it would be appreciated ;)

'I have new 3ds on 9.9 however the exploit isn't working. After I have input the DNS, I quickly put on 3ds and quickly tap the internet browser. I type in link and I am on the qr code page but just as I'm about to click browser_fright the message pops up'

No, probably not. Maybe you need to first setup the connection with your internet active to pass the connection test? Then you can disable it.

:!: I am still brainstorming!

I'm having no luck here. Got it all connected and set up but still getting "The internet browser canblablabla" error

for now it doesn't seem like there is any solution for 9.9 users, or even for any o3ds users. keep trying different ways and poking around. if you have any success or get a little farther feel free to post it here. i feel like we're all in the same sinking ship! :(

Instead of using the link to the exploits, use the direct link. http://yls8.mtheall.com/browserhax_fright.php

When you put the DNS and save, disable your internet or reboot your n3ds. Click in the browser as soon as you see it.

doing exactly this, page is just endlessly loading. oh, the internet browser cannot be used message just popped up. bah.

I updated the post. It seems that you're using an o3ds. Unfortunately, o3ds users reported the thing is not working for them. You might try with 2.1 hax and see if you have any luck.

It's not about version of hax. The problem is the dummy browser installed with 9.9+ update.

dummy browser is only included in game cartridges. The browserhax fix is most likely info sent by your 3ds and not something installed.
