Browser problem

A friend of mine has a problem with his internet browser. Sometimes, if he wants to go to any site, the whole browser stops working and all the other browsers he uses, too. His internet connection is alright, because he CAN use msn. If he reboots his computer, then it works again. Anyone got a solution for this problem? thank you
