Hello, I bought a broken PS5 with many missing components, broken disc drive and update error (su-101312-8)
ps5_1.jpgps5_2.jpg

I fix the disc drive with a piece of wire, 0201 100nF cap, nintendo switch fuse, disc drive and update works
because I can't find the right components

PS5 works good but if the ps5 is off for a longer time I always get a blue light of death and it has to start in safe mode
Can anyone help me with the right components

Thanks

Remove your jumper cable on that SOT236 PAD and see if you still have BLOD
those 10 caps is just filter/decoupling caps for the wifi chip. Wont lead to BLOD without them

I guess that No.15 missing chip maybe SI3493DDV-T1-GE3, 90% sure

I guess this is the case when one buys the stuff on eBay almost for nothing (my guess), finds that the stuff is not entirely functional, has the skills to repair it.. so why not? Some sort of a challenge. And fun.

I think I found the problem
The M021 504X chip gets very hot and can burn fingers
I'm not sure, but it looks like the chip is cracked
Can anyone tell me where I can buy this chip

Error Description
long blue light of death
ps5 error code ce-108262-9
PS5 UART error code 80800000 Kernel Panic Shutdown

Digging out this post as I have a PS5 Slim with similar issue.
Eveything working fine, games run fine but while running heavy games (in my case Horizon 2 Forbidden West), at some point console acts like this :
  • Freezes
  • Black screen appears some seconds later
  • No signal on TV appears some seconds later
  • Then sometimes :
    • Powers off
    • Tries to reboot but shows blinking blue light and ends up powering off >>> At that time it logs UART 80800000 Kernal panic shutdown
Previously to the actual situation I did replace liquid metal + thermal pads for RAM ICs, SSD IC and SSD storage ICs because it was looking like a thermal issue.
Got things a little bit better, but still, console ends up crashing like that and when it reboots, it shows error CE-108262-9.
Before doing the thermal stuff, console was logging this error code on UART :
  • 80C00140 MainSOC_FORCEOFF(TitaniaGPIO) - APU Halt (No Response) - Forced Power Off Via Power Button

I'm going to inspect the motherboard a little bit more into details for better understanding and will report back here.
Post automatically merged:

Well, took a look everywhere, did some measurements but couldn't find anything relevant.
I replaced all remaining thermal pads just to be sure, things went further in Horizon Forbidden West but couldn't reach the first playable scene (even if it worked a little bit further this time in the first animation scene after game menu).

@stetofix : May I ask for your help on this one ?

Thanks

@stetofix could you fix the console @Spiderschwein sold to you?

have a cfi 1116 here with no prior repair attempt which shows the following signs:

  • Freezes
  • Black screen appears some seconds later
  • No signal on TV appears some seconds later
  • Then sometimes :
    • Powers off
    • Tries to reboot but shows blinking blue light and ends up powering off >>> At that time it logs UART 80800000 Kernal panic shutdown

replaced the powersupply and liquidmetal already. i think it might be the southbridge or the ssd controler. maybe also one of the ssd nand chips.
