search banner bricks in SEARCH and in one of the topics, someone's has linked it, i took it and its ready autoboot immediately

obviously you'll need a chip for that, and its a 5mb ISO, use IMGBURN and write at 2.4x, as burners have issues trying to burn such small images. but anyway if it freezes at 99% just wait a bit longer, and see, but if not abort it, it still works... did for me..

So if I get a brick I need a chip to run -autoboot Homebrew disc? (if I can find it that is)

yes...the ONLY (ONLY ONLY ONLY) non-chip solution is 3.2 + Starfall (with diagnostic patch) + Tp-hack...no exceptions.

everyone who installs custom wads, maybe "safe, unsafe" should be ready in case of a brick, and as Noob says, TP Hack, 3.2 and starfall main patches

that way avoids modchips.. and makes you feel a little better knowing you can recover...
otherwise the only option is make dam sure you install trusted wads, that are "tested"
