yeah i have only ever seen 00000002 00000000 to 00000400 00000000.....but yeah i do wish people would post pictures of what they have done when asking for help, you wouldnt go to a garage and say "how can i fix my car i done it myself and now it goes splutter splutter when i try start the engine", for help on hardware stuff it really helps to see exactly what people have done rather than just having their own personal opinion that they have done it right

Sorry gamesquest, you are right. I tried to open it and take a picture. I hope you guys see enough because the wires are preventing me to open it much further. The one (orange?) coming from the right is soldered to the back side; i think the red one (netxt to game slot) is GRD

May I ask how you bricked your 3DS? What did you do wrong exactly? Just to be sure I don't do the same thing, thank you.

Guys, are these solderings correct?
Well really nobody can say as we can't really see much, they are.kinda in the right place on the motherboard, but without a decent res focused picture showing the whole of the area we have no real idea of what points you have soldered to, or see any detail to see if there is any bridges or damage to the motherboard, and we can't see inside the sd adapter so we don't know what points have been soldered to in their either......best anyone can say is I *might* be right....it *might* be a horrible mess

Just from the picture I would say your wires look pretty thick, and the wires look like they could be too long

I agree, try to shorten the wires that go from the 4-pin connector to the adapter. The internal wires look short enough.
The thickness should not be a problem as long as they are soldered correctly, the length is more important, as all wiring has a small resistance but thicker wire actually has less resistance.
Also good idea not using a MicroUSB connector like most people do, no chance of accidentally connecting a MicroUSB cable to it and frying the NAND that way.

Guys, thx for the reply. Will try to shorten the wires and make better pictures :)

Tried to upgrade it using cia files.....

Guys, had my 3DS resoldered and shortened the cables to a new SD card. Now i get the bootrom error and my PC recognizes the card (needs to format it). What are the next steps?
Got a NAND.BIN dump through gateway

Cheers

Don't click format EVER! download win32diskimager and write your NAND.BIN once its finished exit the program safely eject the mounted drive by right clicking on it and reboot your 3DS.

It gives me an error: 483: an error occured while writing data to the handle. Better take an image of another 3DS?

Try another Sd reader, if you still have no luck the wiring may still be a bit off/too long

PS you can only use a nand backup from that specific 3ds to unbrick
