i don't know if emunand.bin will work as nand.bin (sysnand)... someone will have to chime in on that

You could flash your emunand.bin to sysNAND and have it work. Though I'd imagine you had an up to date emunand which means you'd just be restoring that version (10.5 or 10.6 if you kept emunand up to date.) [or if you started modifying titles in your emunand that would brick a sysnand]

Though having your sysnand saves a lot more headache and work.

I didn't know if i brick my 3ds that this would be such a pain... Every console has his own sysnand and can't be restored. Really bad. Unfortunately my emunand is on 10.6 and I have installed few cias on it, I guess this shouldn't be a problem. But, better 10.6 console than bricked console. After all I have 2 3ds consoles so it's not a huge problem.

Oh yea, also another thing. I do not get blue screens while turning my console on. They just stay black, does it also means that can be unbricked?

you bricked because you did not use "pasta" mode when updating. regular rxmode and upgrade will not work.
only hardmod will help you, restore nand.bin

It's fine to flash an emunand to sysnand, just chill out.

what version was your emunand?

you can restore your emunand but you will lose your hax,


here's what I recommend

restore emunand to sysnand

use Downgrade tuts posted.


I assume your emunand is latest?
if yes, therefore you must autofirm it first. (see the 10.5/6 guide) then flash it back to your 3ds
run HB loader and downgrade back to 9.2 with safesystemupdater
get the o3ds 9.2pack (zip) from that iso site, all the guide you need is already in the forum

you can stay on 10.6 sysnand for Legit playing, you will lose your cfw, but you can still HB

if you want cfw like cakes, rei, rx etc.

the good thing is, you're using a 3ds xl! pretty easy to wire up!
like 3 wires + 1 GND! all on surface, no need to flip the board ;D

Ok, I managed to solder everything up, but after connecting SD card to computer, it doesn't recognize nothing. I got blue screens with error, which I didn't had before. Is it maybe because I tried to connect SD card into my laptop card reader? Should I use maybe external card reader?

can i maybe use usb reader similar as on this picture instead of sd adapter?

did you read the guide? the blue screen is normal.
plug your wires to the reader, turn on 3ds, plug reader to pc. open w32imager or roadkill disk image
select the drive letter.
copy.
please read the guides.

No only certain card readers are compatible with the 3ds.
