Ok so, my friend got the 160-0101 error, she f*cked with files she shouldn't of and she has no NAND dump...i made this to make sure that there was NO hope or if there was i would get informed so i can tell her how to fix it.
OH i forgot to mention she didn't have CBHC
OH i forgot to mention she didn't have CBHC
i dont know she doesnt rememberWhat happened then?
If it's a faulty nand chip then I don't think there's much which can be done.
i dont know she doesnt remember
all they did was install haxchi using the 5.5.2 exploit (i think)Was the console hacked? Which method/guide if they remember.

i dont think so, as soon as she boots it, it errorsFrom what I can tell, without a backup of something e.g. OTP.bin. There isn't anything which can be done.
At least for now.
edit:
Long shot, can it direct boot into vWii? Unlikely but I don't know at what stage the Wii U is failing and whether it may be after the check.
i dont think so, as soon as she boots it, it bricks
i hope soThen I'd write it off for now, unless something new comes out e.g. recovery mode hack.
Not only that but she would have to know how to fix the nand after decrypting it. The scripts in my unbrick guide are for fixing a bad nand due to cbhc. If she had a nand backup she wouldn't even need opt.bin just flash the backupLet me guess, she messed with some files via FTP or System Config Tool?
If so, you have to know what your doing when messing with System Files on the Nand.
And im pretty sure she must at least have OTP.bin for a recovery using a HardMod. OTP.bin is used to decrypt and re-encrypt the Nand. Without OTP.bin you can still extract the NAND from your WiiU via HardMod, but you cannot decrypt the Nand to fix it.
Thats if I understand correctly anyway.

I would think you could still fix it if you knew what you were doing and you had otp.bin. I just don't know how. Maybe @Leeful could answer. You should be able to dump the nand, decrypt it and then repair it. After that you would have to encrypt it and flash it back.Very True!! Im glad a have my backup saved on my PC. You never know when you might need it.
EDIT: So as of right now there is no way to fix a bricked console that is not related to a CBHC brick? Even if the person has OTP.bin? Or are there tools out there that can fix the nand once it is decrypted? Im just curious. lol

Then there is nothing that can be done. Paper weightShe doesn't have a NAND backup or a otp.bin and not to be mean but...she's not very tech savvy
I didn't brick she did.Everyone makes mistakes. No one will judge you, OP, if you bricked your Wii U while experimenting. There is no need to blame an imaginary "not tech savvy" friend. We can all read between the lines.
P.S. Of course, if this friend actually exists, then my apologies.![]()
