Unfortunately the damage cap is way to low for that to matter from like chapter 4 on :/

strange-o, either the board ate my post or i just forgot to send it *shrug*

anyway: there must be some way around the 9999 cap for special attacks, as i have had a 270k streetpass summon and have a 176k atm. But i've only put in 12 hours so far, so i had no reason to look into it yet.

Yeah, you can break it during Bravely Second

Hi guys.

Am i missing something?? i have been all day streetpassing and haven't received a single villager.

At what point in the game are you able to receive 'em? I'm at the beginning of chapter 1.

Have a question guys...:)
I been reading that if I play Bravely Default Demo, it will enable extra side quest in main game...!!!
So, guys, do you think European version has missing some side quest unless I play demo first..?

You only get the BD streetpass if the one you receive the streetpass from has streetpassing for BD enabled (which you can do once you get the pendant after exiting the first cave).
If you only get regular Miiplaza streetpasses you just had bad luck; in case you're homepassing this should change once the Americans [authors note: when I'm talking about Americans, i mean inhabitants of the American continent, not of the USoA] get their official release.

The demo _is_ a sidequest/sidestory which is not available in the main game, it doesn't unlock one.
AFAIK it just unlocks some helper items (potions n stuff).

the demo also lets you import into the main game up to 20 villagers (and some friends too, I think), so if you have the demo you can start getting streetpasses in advance.

thanks buddies. I will try out the demo.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this so ill just ask here.

Is it possible to transfer the villagers from the NA demo to the EU full version?

probably not.
It will depend how the transfer is done.

1. You can't connect in Local Play with friends using a different console's region. (but I guess it won't use Local play, as you would need two consoles)
2. There's no demo->game option in EU game. Maybe with an update from eShop to unlock that menu.
3. The demo/game will check the TitleID to allow the transfer (maybe the game will automatically check if there's a Demo savegame on your SD/NAND and load it when you start a new game. It will not check if there's a save from another region).

if all 3 steps are not an issue, then you can transfer from NA to EU.

Is there already a Transfer menu in the Demo?

OK, can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I get streetpass' through the homepass relay. However, I can't get and for Bravely Default (EU version) (Download)(NOT demo).
I am using the Windows 7 homepass.
I thought I read somewhere, that if i download a virtual PC with Windows XP, that I can get BD streetpass'.
Please Help.

Also, not quite understanding the MACpass or MAC shift. I've been using MAC cycle V5 forever. (Use what you know, I guess.)

You only get a villager if the person you streetpass has bravely default activated

in the home pass thread, there seems to be two different MAC addresses for bravely default.
You could try to cycle through these two.

Ok, I tried this. Oh, also, I updated my 3ds to the latest version. If that means anything. Do I need to delete the demo for BD?

OK, so here's as much info as I have.
I have Bravely Default EU ver. download.
I have a regular 3DS. Software version 7.1.0 - 14E
I have a Windows 7 home relay setup.
I am able to get streetpasses from the home relay for every game I have that uses Streetpass...
Except Bravely Default. The only streetpasses I get for Bravely Default are every 8 hours from my second 3DS, where the L and R buttons are broken (I have the BD demo downloaded on this 3DS).

I can see in MiiPlaza I meet characters that are playing BD or the BD demo, So, I know that I should be getting BD streetpasses.

Can anyone help me and maybe walk me through what to do, or what I may be doing wrong?

Thank you SOOOOOOO much.

even when miis present BD as "I have played" it doesn't guarantee that those players have BD streetpassing enabled.

you could try to re setup the BD streetpass data on your end (although it shouldn't be bugged as it works with your other ds, it's the only problem on your end i can think of). to do so:
  • emunand
  • system settings
  • data management
  • streetpass management
  • BD
  • deactivate streetpass
  • start BD
  • reinstall streetpassdata using the update option ingame
If you still don't receive BD passes try a few other macs, for example in the :00 to :39 range

I suggest grabbing the .sav file that comes with 131 villagers. Trust me, the wait is long at later level even with that.

I tried to grab the save file and I am trying to figure out why it does not accept it. I have the Eur contrast version i believe and it just makes a new save file every time i load the game.

Edit: Upgraded to gateway 2.02b and it worked.

Are villagers important if I play this game on my gateway I can't go online and I don't think I can use street pass
