I know this is kinda a dumb question and it's probably been asked before but my Wii U BOTW is updated to the latest possible version which is 1.5 but my Switch BOTW is on 1.6, will they still work or no?

Yes. The converter throws an error for me, but I've done many Switch <-> CEMU conversions using this tool with both at the latest (mismatched) versions and there hasn't been any problems.

I play on CEMU at my house and on my Switch at the girlfriend's house, so I've converted back and forth quite a few times.

Hi, I can confirm that you can restore a WiiU 1.5 save to a Switch 1.6 ver.
Although still have to check after installing the DLC's if everything works ok.

Can someone either compile this and upload as it seems to be useless in its current state, or re-upload the original program as it shows 404 and has been removed

Pretty pls I'm desperate

I can't link :(

Hello

Um, I might be missing something, I just signed up for posting this, but the link Asia81 posted does contain a release .exe from march 24th 2019?
If you are dumped to the front page of the repo, click "Releases" to find the latest releases.

..
homebrew "Atmosphere FSS0
"
rather than "Atmosphere FSS0 EmuMMC". I believe this launches the homebrew with the
regular switch memory

rather then the memory stored on the SD card. Also, you'll probably want to run "Atmosphere FSS0" when you do the Checkpoint stuff(detailed later),
..
just run regular Atmosphere once you get your homebrew setup working.
3) The only homebrew app you need from the tutorial above is checkpoint, but it's easy enough to install the others so why not do it.
.....
Next steps are to setup the file structure for your saves on your switch. Open BOTW, and start a game, and save at the first possible opportunity. Then, open up checkpoint, and import(or create? I can't remember) a new save file. This'll create the file structure for your saves on the SD card and make it obvious where your converted wii u savedata should go. Then take your converted save data from the wiiu, and place it in this newly created file structure. I believe it's under like "switch/checkpoint/saves/<zelda>/<your save file structure>". It'll be obvious where to place them as your checkpoint file structure will match your wii u file structure. So throw your files in there. Then boot up checkpoint again, and "restore" the said save files.
....

New to this, modding an old 2018 clean Switch to transfer WIIU BOTW saves to the kids switch.
1. Used homebrew on WIIU and converted BOTW games to switch format.
2. Formatted and have new SD card in Switch. Airplane mode on.

I want to AVOID homebrew or any type of software that would ban the switch, I just want to transfer save games to the switch VIA SD card. It seems I can transfer saves from one switch to another (but I dont have 1 spare modded switch to take the savegames via Checkpoint to transfer to a clean switch via switch2switch transfer).

--What is the cleanest and simplest way to transfer BOTW save games from SD card to Switch. I haven't installed the BOTW game on the switch yet (But am assuming I will need to first, to make a save game folder).

Thanks

all i want really is to be able to find the rest of the koroks and put where they are on a map so i can play it on my switch, but no where i can find has the option to easily view the koroks i have found already
I don't think that's possible in neither version (WiiU nor Switch)..
To be able to have all the Koroks visible, you would require map pins, I don't think there's other way to have Koroks all visible in-map without having them triggered already.

Shrines are possible because you can enter them, but not finish them, and activating them enables them as warp points or viewpoints in the map, but afaik there's no way to do so for Koroks unless you are seeing an online map of some sorts with he Koroks per sector.

But yeah, long story short, I don't remember anyway of doing so for Koroks.
If someone else knows of a way to do so, please share it.

well i would like a mod that makes the korok pin that appears when you get one easier to see so i can look at them more quickly like how pins are on the map

There's this option in that save editor, just below the main page.
You could probably add all of the pins to the map after all, not only for the seeds, but for all the main bosses for their medals as well.
The only downside is that it's limited to 100 pins at a time, and there are 900, so you could probably get those 100, then re-edit the save for other 100 and so on. Obnoxious, but at least that's an option.

yeah but problem is the pins will probably go over ones i have already done since its not gonna let you remove the koroks and im gonna be doing it on a different save so its

Would it possible to:
1. dump the savegame from the switch
2. convert it to wii u savegame format
3. edit the wii u savegame with a wii u botw save editor
4. convert it back to switch savegame format
5. inject it to the switch
6. profit?
Did you ever get this to work?? Really wanna play on cemu with modded botw
