Hacking Botw dlc with a disc

There are plenty of guides out there of how to download and play back ups of games with their updates and dlc. But i haven't found anything about getting botw dlc with a disc copy. Besides buying another season pass for my son's wii u is there any way I can download the dlc and install it to work with the disc? is it possible to install just a dlc with WUP to work with a disc?

If you install DLC with Wup, then this means that you have Home-brew, CFW/Haxchi, etc installed and working. If you went through all the trouble to hack your Wii U to even be able to install a DLC on CFW, then why would you even use disc? Why not just download the game and DLC through USB Helper, and be done with it? Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's doubtful that a DLC download via these hacked methods will work with a legitimate disc.

Thanks for the reply. I do have homebrew and usb loader gx setup on my wii u with a couple 64gb as cards lying around with alot of games. I have no idea how to use few or haxchi. Do you know of a guide that can get me from A to B with botw and it's dlc?

USB Loader GX is not the same as Wii U USB Helper. Kafluke's noob guide is a good one. Just follow the instructions in his guide, and going from A to Z with what you want to do in no time.

The reason you haven't found anything is because the instructions are the same. Illegitimate DLC with a disc game has the same requirements (CFW/sig patches needed), as long as you have that it will work.

Yes. Just follow the guide linked above. Download the freeupdate/language pack from the eshop. Then install the fake signed dlc using sigpatches (wup installer), and then make the changes to make sure the tickets are the right way round.

The dlc then will all work as if it is legit.

The fact that the game is being played from disc makes no difference.
