It always happens with single player games, games need more multiplayer to force you to play. When you play a single player game you care about the story and graphics and everything, but when you play a multiplayer the game is about gamePLAY, as pureownage said it you dont need a backstory to play the first doneky kong, super mario or to play poker or chess...

I only get to finish games with fantastic gameplay(Picross, Tetris), or a games with great interesting stories(Hotel Dusk, phoenix wright)
same with me. a good game to me has to grab my attention right from the beginning when i start the game. i don't like games that throw bullshit at me i don't need.

This is a well-documented syndrome that happens to most folks when they get everything they want. I went through it in the first few months of having my flash card, and the only way around it (I believe) is self-discipline. Just grab the games you really want and try to make a conscious effort to feel some appreciation for them. After all, regardless of whether or not you actually paid for those games, someone put a lot of work into them.

I might start doing that as I think its starting to happen to me.

Ill pick up soul bubbles sometime, because I don't think the company who made it are that well-known.

You need to learn to stick to one game. I first had a 64MB MicroSD, I appreciated every game I could play. (Which was limited cause of 64MB

)

Then I bought 2GB and loaded it with games. I was amazed the first time.. So many choices. I first played everything trough each other. Now I play one game and beat it.

Even if I put other games on the MicroSD, I hold L + R on the Cyclo to start my previous game. I've completed quite some games though!

Well i usually get put the game in my flashcard play it a bit and then leave it rest for some months ( or a week LOL ) so i can read reviews or more people get it then i play it again and i don't get so bored. Or get old games that say there very good.
BTW RPG they make them last forever so when you finish it you feel like that's that no minigame or multiplayer ( some do have multiplayer and minigames (zelda) ). And if this doesn't help you can put your own music (that normally it's better)

I don't have the same problem, believe it or not. I have around 30 games on my cart yet I play only one or two for at least one month (if I like the game) before moving on to the next. It's not so much that I have discipline, more of the fact that I can't be bothered to start a new game.

I get this sometimes but generally i am good at games on my cart I have compleated

Pokemon
Final fantasty 4 (25 hours did all the sidequests)
The world ends with you
pokemon link
most of brain training soudoku
Advance wars duel strike
Days of ruin
Sega superstar tennis
Metal slug 7

Amen, although a little bit of story/backstory isn't bad aslong as it doesn't get too longwinded and just sets the scene.
However can't be avoided with most RPGs etc.

pirate syndrom cant be helped.
my problem used to be that my msd reader used to corrupt my data.
(had FF12:RW and TWEWY nearly finished at that time) since then i bout a new reader and a cyclods but i havent had the same motvation to sit through long games on the ds anymore.

What I do is make a folder and name it games. then make two games in that folder and name them Awsome and Good

Awsome: games I love to play and I can play them over and over again.

good: ok games that have my interest and were good but not perfict.

I try out all the games and play them, puting the ones that are just amasing in the awsome folder and puting ones that I enjoyed but weren't good enogh in the good folder. The one's I didn't like I threw them away. From there I got my lowest card (can only fit 4 games) and only alowed myself to only get 4 games (2 good and 2 awsome) and managed that for a week then I allow myself to get new games but some times I don't get any and only play the ones I have. I'll get so focused on 4 games that I find myself playing for weeks the same 4 games, but I still change them if I get board. When I'm going away from the house for a few days I pack my 4GB card (I'm wondering if I should get a 8GB one)so I can be prepard.

i've got bored of my ds with 51 games... it sucks the games are so boring right now and i don't like alot of these new games... i'll have to wait untill steptember ends then there should be some more games around 10 i want

I remember when I had fun playing Monoply, Star Wars and Home Alone on my Game Boy Pocket.
That would have never flied with a Flashcart. LOL.
