Borderlands 2 G4's GOTY

I used to hate Anarchy. I thought, "Why did the devs do this to us?"

Then I started playing around with Rational Anarchist and Discord. I'm OK with only having 25 stacks now.
I use sniper rifles until I start missing at around 60-70 stacks. Then I just use unkempt harold and blast my way through. only max 150 stacks though. I need some points on deathtrap.

The game definitely deserves all this accolade. I've only played as Gaige, but she's awesome. Admittedly she's designed a bit awkwardly - only Sharing is Caring is worth going for in terms of end-of-tree skills, Anarchy isn't really worth the hassle without Discord and Rational Anarchist and the middle tree is only real worth using during True Vault Hunter Mode (where shock damage does 150% damage against shields and suffers no damage penalty against flesh or armour) - but there's something really fun about the chaos Gaige can bring in a battle.

She's a bit hard to buff, but then again she was built to be so it's difficult to complain.

I can see why this game scored so well. I mean I certainly enjoyed it.

I had the time of my life listening to the commentary during the Badass Crater of Badassitude content

Same here. Tiny Tina is by far the best character in the game though, however Moxxxi, Innuendo Bot 9000, Mr Torgue and Incinerator Clayton were all great characters in my opinion. Scooter wasn't nearly as good as in the original, maybe because he is more of a filler character this time around, and I thought Ellie was pretty pointless until you unlocked the Hodunk vs Zaffer mission chain.

It's kind of hard to do that when two of the five main characters are walking, talking, internet meme machines, amidst a game that tries very hard to make you laugh using edgy off-color humor, then slathering on a little bit more of that internet "culture" for assurance. They took Jack, the only rather solid character at the start, and threw him down said dark and edgy hole in order to create the travesty they call an ending.

At the end of the day no one is in it for the writing. (If you are, you're part of the problem.) It's the gameplay mechanics and level progression that they're in for and keep coming back to. Hell, that is why I have two maxed characters myself.

Uhh, no. Handsome Jack was a character that you wanted to hate right from the get go. His arrogance and ignorance were his own ultimate demise, and along the way you get to have a few laughs (seriously, he has a horse named Butt Stallion, that should make you chuckle at least). There are lots of funny moments, maybe your Funny Meter is broken, or maybe you are just an uptight gamer who doesn't enjoy a few comical laughs once and a while. And so what if they use meme's in a video game, the meme's aren't nearly as funny as Moxxxi's numerous innuendos and sometimes shocking commentary (especially in Mr Torgue's DLC campaign). One can't not love Tiny Tina though, by far the most hilarious of all the characters.

Is there an updated Willow program for BL2 so I can jump straight into vault hunter mode with a new character? Just rushing through burns me out, but I like the increased difficulty a bit.

I'd rather hear YOUR info, with examples from YOUR experiences.

For example most of the reviews out there wouldn't give much screen time to how the various guns reload, but I love how many differences there are and how the mechanisms of each type work into the speeds and would focus on that for a bit... and while lots of people have talked about the music, I think most of the music in the game is bland, borderline ambient at best.

It's called Gibbed's Save Editor (not to be confused with the ones he's made for other games like the ME series).

(R142 is the latest as of this post, take note because they're NOT in chronological order.)

I've never actually edited anything with it, so you're on your own.

Thanks, I'll give it a look. Half the fun is slowly building up a character to see how they interact, but after doing it for the third time, I just rather set level to 20 and vault hunter mode and have at it.

Activating TVHM for a character using Gibbed can be tricky. I found that out today and didn't have much luck with it.

I wish I would have found and used Gibbed earlier. It made stashing items soooooooooooo much more convenient.

Well you can just increase your backpack/bank size with CE. The max number is reset on each save/load since one of the patches, but you can just reset the max size after loading a game, and the extra items aren't deleted (you need to increase your size again or drop items to access the ones beyond the "end" of the list).
