Hacking bootmii

i have 3.2 USA wii, i have the HBC beta 8 and preloader .28. ( yeah i didnt use it for a while) anyway i want to install bootmii through HBC and the dol file loads up and after i press 1 its like it cannot load it because my wii doesnt have the vulnerable file. I know that i got my wii late 2007 so that bug shouldnt have been fixed. so what could the problem be?

you have to dop-ios some of your IOS's I'm not sure which ones someone else will have to fill you in on that part as I've never had that problem

Don't use cIOSCORP. It could screw your whole Wii. First install the IOS36, then install BootMii.

Install the IOS36 from a game with a 3.2 (or maybe 3.3) update on it

Get it from the game with WUFE.

i got the IOS36 from mario kart and installed it with wad manager. and installed bootmii as boot 2 perfectly. SUCCESS!

except that his:

Copied from one of the softmod guide....

1st download the precompiled link modify.zip by emailing [email protected]

Run Trucha Bug Restorer
Choose IOS15 & press A. (Important)
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.
Choose IOS36 menu. In there use these settings:

Install IOS to slot (36)
Hash check (trucha) YES
ES_Identity YES
NAND Permissions YES

Then press A on install patched IOS36.
Everytime it says "load IOS from SD" press A.

Run Trucha Bug Restorer
Choose IOS36 & press A.
Wait till it says Press 1 then press it.
Then Choose restore IOS15.
Press A to restore.
Everytime it says "load IOS from SD" press A

Don't know about 4.2. It should work if you install the IOS36 with trucha-bug from a game with a 3.2 update (mario kart/brawl)
TBR (Trucha Bug Restorer) fakesigns the IOS, so that won't work. You will need a non-fakesigned one, see the line above for instructions

and how do i install that IOS36-64-v1042 (i think you're referring to that 1)?
