Don't know about 4.2. It should work if you install the IOS36 with trucha-bug from a game with a 3.2 update (mario kart/brawl)
TBR (Trucha Bug Restorer) fakesigns the IOS, so that won't work. You will need a non-fakesigned one, see the line above for instructions

and how do i install that IOS36-64-v1042 (i think you're referring to that 1)?

wad? don't work no wadmanager work...

any wad manager can install official wads. as long as: its not modified, that ios on the wii is an older version, or that ios does not exist on the wii.
it will still work because the wad is not fake signed. therefor legit, and passes sign tests. got it.

Don't use cIOSCORP. It could screw your whole Wii. First install the IOS36, then install BootMii.

Oh just shut up and go home. It doesn't screw your whole Wii by a long shot. It might make updating/changing a few things a pain but only if you're too stupid to handle it. Some people want to load all games by disc. (not a loader) and there is NO BETTER WAY without a mod chip.
