I installed bootmii as IOS, as the boot1 F01E prevented me installing it on boot2, how do I access it via IOS?
There'll be a button in HBC, assuming you've installed HBC 1.0.2 (included in the BootMii installer).

If I have my wii in 3.2 , and i want just updated HBC , it's possible?

Sure. The 3 installations (bootmii, dvdx and hbc) are seperated.
but the hbc can also update itself, so you could try that too (if that update is online yet)

Well you were obviously to stupid to do it right.
Let me guess you have the 4.0 update on your Wii and you tried the normal cIOS installer, right? *facepalm*

Oh for fucks sake STFU with the insults you pedantic mouth breathing kid.

I've read every damn tutorial, I've used every version of every variation of every installer, I've consulted with hotline psychics, and it's the same result every damn time. Now I don't need to explain every single little god damned detail about my dilemma.

Long story short, I fucked up, BootMii is out, and I'm just asking a simple question regarding NAND modification utilities for those fuckups such as myself.

I waited ages for the online updater, nothing came up, I don't think it's up yet.

@AlexDP Thank you for your help

Some are asking on how to boot in to System Menu so that you don't see the Bootmii screen well remove the bootmii folder from you SD card and now it boots directly in to System Menu. If you want it to go to bootmii but after 5 seconds boot in to system menu you have to have you bootmii folder in the SD and in bootmii.ini have
VIDEO=NTSC (or PAL50/PAL60/PROGRESSIVE)
AUTOBOOT=HBC (or SYSMENU)
also if you have it set to auto boot you need to have the GC controller unplugged other wise it will sit on the bootmii screen. (at least that's what it did for me once i unplugged the GC controller it counts down and auto boots to whatever you selected in bootmii.ini)

Also you will only see the (go to bootmii) while exiting hbc only if you installed bootmii as an IOS if you installed it as boot you will not see that option. (I Personal have not tried the IOS install but thats what i got from reading a lot of posts)

Installing both (boot and IOS) seams really pointless but hey that's just an opinion. (like they say opinions are like assholes everyone has one)

Hope this helps someone

Stupid question, it's okay to take the nand backup off the SD card and put the old stuff back onto it right?

Then I can put it back like this when/if I ever need it..
Don't mean to quote my self, but no one ever answered..
I mean, there must be a reason it had to format it, right? I don't really like loosing the SD card..

Since HBC 1.0.2 supports USB hdds now, how do I access the dol/elf files from it? It must be the first primary partition on FAT32? If there's an SD card, which has priority?

This is what I found inside the WIibrew forums "An IOS install will not boot into BootMii, it just makes MINI available as an IOS"

So basically a boot2 install does what preloader does, however doing an IOS install, installs Team Twizzers MINI OS which allows the build of better homebrew apps in the future.
It's the fact that when you update the Homebrew channel to 1.0.2 that gives you access to BootMii from within the Homebrew channel.

Yes its OK to take your backup place in on you PC and use it for hbc mean while. And once you need your backup to repair or restore just place nand.bin back on you SD lunch bootmii and restore.

that should work yes. if you want to restore the backup, just make sure the card is fat32 and put the files on it

Uh wow your insults hurt so bad, how can I live on with something like this on my soul. -__-

And the simple answer:
No there isn't such a tool and there never will be, since it's risky, it would be a LOT of work and people who aren't complete morons can do what you are trying with tools that already exist.

It takes a freakin 50 seconds to load and when it finally loads I have to use my gc controller. It can't even load any apps until some new "special" ones are released. So far I pretty much like preloader much better than this.

You probably already know this, but you can set BootMii to AutoBoot mode, and it'll automatically start either System Menu or HBC after 5 seconds.

I dont know How can I do it?

does it work just like preloader?

I mean, pressing rest to go to boot mii.

What happens if i have preloader and bootmii when I enable autoboot?

create a file on your SD card in /bootmii/bootmii.ini (or open it if it's already there) and type this:
AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU

if you want it to boot to HBC just replace SYSMENU with HBC.
Next time you turn on your wii, it'll show BootMii, then after 5 seconds it will automagicallly start the system menu
smile.gif

If you want to stop it from autobooting, just use the GC controller directional keys.
I don't know about having both bootmii and preloader.

Having both Bootmii and Preloader is fine. If you use Bootmii to boot to System Menu, it will boot to Preloader. If you like, you can set Preloader to autoboot to System Menu as well, so your Wii will actually boot to the system menu on startup. The only issue here is that you get the load time for Bootmii coupled with the load time for Preloader, which adds up to a bit of a wait for your Wii to startup.
