Hacking bootmii problem

Hello all first post here and need a bit of help, decided to mod the lads wii for him and found out last night what a minefield of info there is out there, his system is 4.2e, i managed to find a zip file from somewhere last night which had apparently all i needed for the sd card, including things like cios 222 installer, any title deleter mod, backup launcher cios installer, DOP - ios, usb loader gx and wad manager 1.4/boot.
I inserted the card and went to the sd card menu, the boot.dol accept came up and took me to a screen that gave me the option to install HBC, DVDX and Bootmii. HBC and DVDX installed ok but when i went to bootmii and try to install as boot 2 ir IOS i get a fAILED -1. when i go back to the main screen and try to exit it says flushing to log file, i then get...unable to mount file system, could not flush log to SD...
The only way out of the menu is to hold the power button and reboot. When i rebooted the HBC was on and a list of the apps listed and thats as far as i am...what is the next step i need to do or what else do i need to install....?

What is your SD card formatted as?
It should be FAT32, if it is then you probably need a different SD.

I think -1 error is SD/SDHC card related. Is it an SDHC you're using? If so, try an SD instead. If it is an SD you're using try using the Panasonic formatter and start again.

Sometimes the installer can be funny with the type of card.

I formatted as FAT and then tried FAT32 but still no joy, my card is a kingston 4gb sdhc which according to wii brew has been tested with bootmii and works...?

You might have a slightly dodgy or busted card. Try another one just in case
