:S no lol, gbatemp wii is just stupid, 4000 posts on the same thing, n00bs asking where to get games or why there pirate game wont burn or work when its been answered 1000 times before, i remmebe when cmios was released, the 1st 2 pages were this game doesnt work will this work blah blah blah, the HACKING section needs cleaning and more moderation

Even though I am new here, I agree wholeheartedly, this is the Wii Hacking section not the "how to steal games for Wii" section

Nice to see more bootmii news coming in closes succession to one another. Looks like they may be close to a release. And for them to address the status of bootmii running on these newer boot1 consoles, and the options available.

Thank GOD, i'm not running this specific boot1.
By the way, the bootmii/pl comparison chart is clear enough: i'll install bootmii as soon as it's out and still keep on running PL to run extra dols like crazyintro.

At first, BootMii will not be compatible with those Wiis. A modified boot2 will not run on them, period. However, there is a way of accomplishing some of BootMii’s goals on those Wiis, by installing BootMii as the System Menu’s IOS, or as an entirely separate IOS, for example.

Which unfortunately is very easy for Nintendo to work around in future versions of the Wii. All they need to do is start digitally signing the System Menu and write a check in to boot2 to look for that signature. The current fixed boot1 will keep us from modifying boot2, and boot2 modified like that would keep us from modifying the System Menu DOL, which means we would always have to boot to the System Menu.

It's a bit of work for Nintendo, but if we manage to do anything truly "interesting" by replacing the System Menu, you'd better bet they will do something about it.

2) if you read the comments there is a guy who speaks of "3rd Will bootmii contain any anti-piracy code (for the real pirates)" eh, I asked, I hope that not only fired me for this ...

i wonder if bootmii will have a cool menu i know its just boot 2 replacement, but TT could add a menu be cool to have an "alternative" menu lol something to allow you to boot you VC and wii and GC games without the need for the wiimote to be turned on, or adding an autoboot option
