Is there a known way to boot one of these without the dvd drive connected if it is softmodded? I was wondering because it would free up space to add another hdd or even fans to a cool case mod. I know it typically gets an error, but I was inquiring more if there was a bypass for this. :hateit:

Oops. NVM. I answered it as if it were an X-box 360 question.

Not softmodded. If you use a chip or tsop flash it, you can use a no dvd bios. Softmodded, you have to leave it connected :(.

You'll need a hacked BIOS that supports no DVD drive.

Otherwise it'll keep spitting out an error.
