Homebrew boot9strap error

I am using the 3ds hacks guide website to install boot9strap on my 2DS XL (This is my first time jail-breaking). I have put all the files in the right folders a but when I scan the QR Code I get an error saying:

An error has occured.
Please save your data in any software currently in use and restart the system.

• What's the actual system version (and region) of your console?
• What exactly guide/method are you following?
• Did you know if your console was hacked before? (You can try to check that turning on your console while pressing the SELECT button at the same time and with the SD card removed from your console)
