3.3U Wii here with an NTSC wad. Same issue. Tried uninstalling DVDx and the patchmii cIOSv6 and it did the same thing, even after reinstalling the wad. Hopefully its not 3.3 at fault. Maybe I'll try menuloader.

Got 2 Wii's. One is hooked up via component and works fine, version 3.2.

The other is hooked up via composite, version 3.2 and exhibits exactly the same problem as you're getting.

Edit : They're both PAL Wii's with the PAL version of Bomberman.

Weird. Could it be anything to do with Starfall?

Same problem. Tried several PAL releases of the wad on my PAL 3.3E with components. Just slams me back to the channel menu each and every time.

Try dropping back to 3.2E. Works fine on my component connected Wii, just not on my composite connected Wii.

I was trying to figure out how to do that just now. I'll report back once I got it sorted.

As a last option try the method I described in the WiiWare Releases sticky thread, I'd be interested to see if works for folks having the same problem. Also make sure you're actually using the same region wad as your console and not all the region changed versions that are floating around. WM8E = NTSC USA, WM8P= PAL.

    *edit*
I enjoy posting after FGOD, our two avas after each other crack me up for some reason. lol

The following is a direct quote.

This will stop the resetting back to the Main System Menu when launching WiiWare.

For NTSC-North America users, on step 3 and step 4:

    3. When asked to patch the .dol file, press 0. After it finishes, press any key.

    Press 1 instead.

    4. For the next option (Video Mode Changer), press A then enter. If converting to PAL, choose option 1, if not, choose 2, then press enter. Press any key to continue.

Press 2 as you want it to stay NTSC.

For the most part everything else can be followed word for word.

I tried reverting my Wii back to 3.2E, to no avail. After that I let the Wii update itself back again, I removed the WAD and tried the procedure described above. Worked like a charm!

Thing plays beautifully now, even on-line.
