Hacking Blocking Wii U updates and still accessing the eShop

How do I block the 5.5.2 update and still access the eShop? Do I need Haxchi or can I use a homebrew app similar to HTTPwn?
You need access to homebrew. You do not need Haxchi, but you'll have to run the browser and go to a site every time. To block updates on your Wii U, you can either use custom DNS servers (https://gbatemp.net/threads/titledb-com-update-blocking-dns-servers.451486/), or you can spoof or disable updates (last one is only if you are using a CFW) (https://gbatemp.net/threads/spoofing-a-wii-u-from-5-5-1-5-5-2-and-disabling-updates.477781/). Then you can use NNU-Patcher to access the eShop (http://gbatemp.net/threads/nnu-patcher-to-access-eshop-from-5-5-1-also-works.477791/).

Ok, thanks. I'll try that some time.

It has already been said many times since firmware 5.5.2 was released but I can understand, it was like an avalanche of comments...

To avoid update use loadiine.ovh DNS and to acces eShop on 5.5.1 use NNU Patcher.

Edit : Too slow, makes this comment useless.
