What is the best way to play AVI or Xvid or Divx on DS lite? Or would it be better to encode them to whatever it is and play them on moonshell 2.x ? If so how?

Thanks in advance!

Er get an iPlayer for avi and other formats that I don't know it supports off the top of my head. Or just use the dpgtools that came with moonshell 2 to encode to dpg. (Personally I use the latter)

Use an iplayer or convert the video file...both have there problems though

The iplayer costs a lot and can only play homebrew games.
Converting video files sometimes make the sound and video unsync

iPlayer will do the trick, but really, instead of wasting cash, just use Moonshell 2.5.

Moonshell 2.5? wut

iPlayer has so much engrish it feels unprofessional.
I'd rather go grab a zune hd when it comes by.

Super only converts to DPG1.

I'm using the imTOO dpg converter, really nice interface, converts to DPG4 (quality is amazing there) and yes, it's worth the twenty bucks.

So... Both M3 Sakura and Moonshell 2.X support DPG4 and older right? I haven't tried it before and I know that Moonshell has gotten WAY more updates than Sakura.

Remember people MP4 = M4a (MP4 is just a container like AVI or MKV- it is what you crowbar into it that matters) assuming you do not have any DRM involved, the MP4 plugin is just for the audio (aimed at AAC but with support for the MP4 container) and as I recall it got integrated into the app many many versions ago (I remember reporting on it in late 2006).
