Start the Homebrew Channel and use it to load the IOS236 Installer.
Note: This app must be launched using HBC v1.0.7 or higher in order to work properly.

do u have 249? If u have 249 but not 250, then u must be running a VERY old version of 249 (v9 or under) since every 249 installer from v10 to v19 makes a copy of itself to slot 250. Anyways, u can try using 249 if u have it. But if u get any errors, just don't skip the IOS236 Installer step.

Wanted to check in and let you know I modded another 2 Wii's this past weekend using ModMii. I cant stress enough to the rest of you how easy ModMii makes this. I've modded many Wii's in the past using various methods, including writing myself my own custom guide , ModMii is BY FAR the easiest, fastest, and most stress free of any method out there. I will never use anything else. This past weekend was a remod of a launch Wii that needed some serious cleaning up, and a late model (slightly more risky) white wii that had to have a BootMii as IOS install. Both mods went off without any problems what-so-ever. Thanks again XFlak!

I have 249 v19 and v20 installed but MMM says IOS installed = 4,9 -17, 20,21,22,23,28,30,31,33,34,36,37,50,51,53,55,249,259. No 250....
If I manage to install Patched IOS236, can I install wad's again?
Is it also possible to virginize the Wii and start all over again using you tool?

@erolz, u can't have 2 versions of IOS249 installed at the same time... anyways, try using 249 to install wads, if it fails, install 236 using the guide and that will allow u to install wads again. Honestly, u've asked many questions, which is okay... but all those questions were to help u skip 1 or 2 steps. If u just did all the steps, u would be done by now.

If u want to read about why virginizing is not possible and stupid to attempt, read page 50 of this thread. And I've already told u, there's no need to virginize to start over, just don't skip steps and everything will work out perfectly.

@sparhawk110 , great to hear your success stories! Seriously I love hearing how easy ModMii made modding your Wii's!

Can modmii also enable the USB loader or whatever to play GameCube games? I will buy a USB Gecko since someone says that might work. I want to play Wii and GameCube games on the Wii withOUT having to burn the disks. Just download games that I don't have and then play them on Wii on the disk channel or whatnot (don't know which loader supports this).

if I were u I would wait for DIOS MIOS to be released... or u can look into SD-Boot by emu kidd. But yea, my personal advice... don't even bother with this yet, it would be difficult to get working even for me... and u have substantially less experience

Alright will do. Which thread should I ask it in then? I had my Wii repiared by Nintendo before I got intersted in hacking and now I can't play DVD's movies on it. Probably not DVD backups either. And Coto urged me to upgrade to 4.3 WAN so now I probably can't do it at all.

Seems to have worked for me, BUT now Wii sports resort asks me to update.?
Was on 3.2E (wasn't asking to update), and updated to 4.1E with ModMii.
Any ideas on how to disable updates?

I used the MOD Mii installer, Im on 4.3 U and when I run the Smash Stack it loads fine, but the HackMii Installer seems to freeze. I have tried several times, but it hasnt worked any solution?

EDIT: I already fixed it by re downloading the hackmii installer.

And what difference does moving disk channel make?
I still want to play my games from disks i've bought..

u should install priiloader, then enable the system menu hack to disable updates (doing so will not prevent u from playing any games)

Hey nice update, I notice you added this point to the guide

IOS36v3351 [This is saved in the WAD Folder because you enabled the Option36, installing this is not recommended as your IOS36 is likely already patched]

I'm not sure if my IOS36 is patched, are there any problems if you install this wad if you already have a patched IOS36, can it cause any bricks or conflicts in performance. Also second question I noticed the wad in the folder is IOS36-64-v3607 rather than the v3351 in the guide, is this normal?
