Well, it pretty much just wouldn't use the extra RAM, since it's simply not there. But I'm pretty sure the extra RAM only really helps for the bigger games that won't fit into the DS's normal internal memory.

Right, the slot-2 RAM is only used for storing the SNES rom itself, which can speed up games that are too large to fit inside the DS's RAM. Without slot-2 RAM, a paging system is used that calls up chunks of the game into RAM as needed, but if the entire rom is available in slot-2, the paging system doesn't need to be used. It doesn't do a thing for graphical accuracy or overall compatibility.
