I have no aversion to Linux, I just find it very time consuming to find everything I want for the system. Windows is just simple, if not a bit rigid, and I don't have to spend all day trying to figure out how to make some obscure piece of hardware play nice with the OS, or how to make some crappy video format to convert to another one without compiling a program that's not in the repository, and I have no clue whether or not it will actually run on the version of Linux i'm running.

I agree, and much of that also applies to Macs but 10 times worse.

I especially like Linux because it's looks. You can do almost everything what you want with it, and a lot of them are free. Well, Windows can also be free, but then it's probably illegal.
Mac does really look good, but I don't have enough money to buy such things.
I don't have Windows because it is especially good, but I don't think it's bad. I just prefer the other two.

well i have tried windows linux and a little bit of mac (hackitosh for a week) so i cant really speak for mac
but i chose linux for my main system (i have 2 boot)
coz linux is way faster than any windows it hasn't virus so this means no antivirus and more memory,also if you ever want to know a little about how the computer work you should try linux and is allot customizable,but it has its downsides for example it has like 30% of all the win app also it lacks on games :S and it doesnt support all hardware T-T

Mac sucks in my opinion. you can do more in windows and linux. But it also depends on what you want your os to do. linux is good for the things windows doesnt include, but te rest is all windows. mac is just too basic which focuses more on the hardware looks than on performance

I like Linux, but prefer Windows.
