Hi I just wanna know what the best and fastest GBA emulator for Ps Vita.
mgba is better but slightly slower
gpsp is significantly lower quality and slightly faster (requires vhbl)
mgba, vba next and gpsp in retroarch. though i've never gotten gpsp to launch a game.
none of the emulators run the game i've tried on them super well all the time. for example golden sun gets really choppy during battle animations.
excited for the progress of the scene!
this is all on 3.60 btw.
In terms of native GBA emulators there is mGBA, gpsp (from RetroArch) and vba (from RetroArch).
I still get the best results with mGBA (even if alot of people say the gpsp would be better by now).
There is a gpsp version in RetroArch now...
Edit: btw next time you can look here
vitatype, i haven't gotten gpsp to load a game in retroarch. could you test yours to see if it loads golden sun?
I know but last I checked the VHBL version ran much better
You need to install a GBA BIOS (the file is called gba_bios.bin)
That makes it worse then Mgba and Vba since you need to just install those.
yay it works! now to see if the battles lag...
Please tell us how fast the emulator is. Also is VBA Virtual Boy Emulator ?
yea the battles still lag in golden sun. all three emulators run the game exactly the same. they appear to be of equal quality at this point. i haven't tried too many games though, mainly just want to play golden sun.
and im not sure what vba stands for but it definitely plays gba games.
No, if you want a VirtualBoy emulator the only options is mednafen_vb_libretro.vpk from RetroArch atm.
It is a port of VisualBoyAdvance a GBA emulator.
I'm starting to think that emulating golden sun well is a sign that the emulator is badass. Mgba has alot of potential except those graphical bugs are legit gamebreaking.
once golden sun can be emulated flawlessly we will have our golden emulator.
Is it good ? And does it have cheats ?
