I am not sure since I have gateway and cubic ninja I never had to do this step

Start the fbi installer without any of those files. You'll get an error like: "can't find fbi version X for region Y".
Use the one it was looking for.

Cubic Ninja the game? Yes. Not on sysnand though.

You can install a Cubic Ninja CIA. Other than that no.
You can install NTR-CFW as a CIA though which is pretty nice

So, I can install cubic ninja, but not the exploit?

Also what wil NTR-CFW allow me to do that RxTools wont?

You can install Ninjhax on the CIA.
Plugins and cheats basically. And in-game screenshots

One more question,
Can you use FBI to install bluebigmenu or dev menu.
I prefer bbm.

Sure, you can install anything with FBI.

My sysnand is factory. ( The only thing on it is the DS profile exploit)
I am running all the hax through emunand, so I limit the risk of breaking my system

That is perfectly fine, since your emunand is by definition a cfw

Install cn to system nand then open it though dev rx mode to use exploits

And that was my point to Ronhero that you can't blame rxtools for the bricks but the person who is doing it. If they just skip steps because they want it setup quickly than that is their fault. But reading just gives you more knowledge to understand how to do things later.

I'm not blaming rx tools I was just giving safe options for new people because notoriously in the past people have bricked their unit doing things half fast. I fail to see how suggesting to downgrade to 4.x is a frowned upon method when gateway makes it very noob proof. Say whatever you want I said my piece I'm out
