i see a lot of people giving you grief . . . perhaps if you explained the reason your stance they will stopGuys I just said I don't want to hack my console.
He said he just wanted something plug and play on his 3.0 3DS where he could play ALL recent games. Hacking is much easier and less expensive and needs only to be done once.i see a lot of people giving you grief . . . perhaps if you explained the reason your stance they will stop
. . . that is his conclusion . . . not the reason . . . why plug and play?He said he just wanted something plug and play on his 3.0 3DS where he could play ALL recent games. Hacking is much easier and less expensive and needs only to be done once.

Cause it's easy? For example, I am reading from reviews that the EZ-FLASH Redux is difficult to use and not noob friendly, so that flashcart wouldn't qualify as plug and play. The EverDrive-GBA X5 and the EverDrive-GB X5, those I would classify as plug and play, you put them in your console, you power on the console, choose the game you want to play and voila.
As for not wanting to hack, I am worried that something goes wrong like an unproper installation and it bricks my 3DS or that it may causes other unforseen issues, with flashcarts I don't have to worry about that.
with ntrboot cfw installation you enter the system in such a way that you can use this method even in the event that your system is bricked before you begin (it runs before the system os kicks in allowing you to rewrite the consoles nand in case of a brick . . . if needed)Cause it's easy? ...

technically no flashcard is as you need a pc to obtain roms but i digressI am reading from reviwers that the EZ-FLASH Redux is difficult to use and not noob friendly, so that wouldn't be plug and play.
but there are worries still if you use a rom without a private header or game compatibility with the 3ds fw also rom savetype with the flashcard not to mention the lack of an interface requiring you to cycle through games to find the one you wantWith flashcarts I don't have to worry about that.
if this is truly your goal then to answer your concern the sky3ds+ is your best flashcard based answer . . . but as i have stated (in so many words) your fears are null as ntrboot allows you to fix your concern if it ever occurs so my suggestion would be to by a ntrboot compatible flashcard the steps in 3ds.hacks.guide are so well written i have seen 8 yr old kids complete it (no exaggeration) and if you do need help you can come back here and i will assist youit's easy
regardless what flash cart you get you can't play most of the good games anyway since games have minimum firmware.
correct individual games require different fw generally the fw that was "new" as the game was either developed or releasedSo even if I update firmware with a cart to say ver 4.5.0, I still wouldn't be able to play 3DS games released in 2018, correct? I know that you I tried to play Dragon Quest VII on an original cart, the game prompted me to update to ver 10.3.0-28 whenever I tried to play the game.
1. You should really hack your 3DS before you update. You can do it for free on 3.0.0 but you may not be able to do so on a more current 3DS version after you updated it.
2. 3DS gamecarts come with the system updates they require. I think that you should be able to update with just the flashcart and the ROM.
What do you want? What would I get though? I mean aside from the obvious ability to run games ROM on an SD Card I mean?
The home menu is part of the firmwareFrom what I understand that won't update the Home Menu though, only the firmware?
I suggest you just use this since you are on 3.0.0: https://3ds.hacks.guide/installing-boot9strap-(soundhax)What would I get though? I mean aside from the obvious ability to run games ROM on an SD Card?

There is a way: hack your 3DS, which is absolutely FREE on 3.0, then update to 11.8, and enjoy all the advantages of CFWSo no matter what I do I'll have to update the firmware if I want to be able to play all 3DS games that were released in 2012-2018? Is there absolutely NO way to get around this? If so what would be the best, to update from online or to update from a an official cartridge?
No, flashcarts just emulate a real cart with all of the limitations that come with that.Wait, what? Won't playing 3DS ROMS on a flashcart allow me to bypass this?
Practically impossible. Unless you have some rip off sd card.As for not wanting to hack, I am worried that something goes wrong like an unproper installation and it bricks my 3DS or that it may causes other unforseen issues, with flashcarts I don't have to worry about that.
There's a new, free CFW method for 11.8Hi, i'm on the same boat here. apparently sky3ds+ really expensive.
can you please help me where is the perfect guide to homebrew my console and noob proof way?
my console is already at the latest firmware T_T 11.8
Thank you so much in advance
