Ninja Gaiden, anyone?

Zelda is good, as well as the FF games.

I don't think anyone has mentioned trackmania yet, which is a fun arcadey stunt racing game. It actually feels pretty similar to the PC version, for a portable release. Mario Kart is fantastic as well.

1-Nanostray Series (awesome).
2-FFIV (especially during Real time cinematic with voice, character gets extra details/shadows/lights).
3-FFIII (older engine still nice looking).
4-Nintendogs (dog graphics is excellent).

Nanostray 2, by far, has the best, fully 3D graphics I've seen on DS.
Phantom Hourglass would probably be the runner up for me
Dragon Quest Monsters - Joker (best character models on the system, but great environments, too)
Nanostray 1
Crystal Chronicles

Honorable mention would be Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, which I think is ultimately the best-looking game on DS, but it's not fully 3D.

Ninja Gaiden was really great, so don't get me wrong. But it certainly wasn't true 3D. You moved around in a 3D space, and the characters were 3D models, but the backgrounds were flat 2D images. So, it was like Resident Evil. Other DS games that did this include Soma Bringer and the upcoming Suikoden DS. Like I said, awesome games, but not what I'd call 3D.

Thanks for all these suggestions guys!
I've never tried Phantasy Star 0... is it easy enough to understand and to play even though it's Japanese?

I was wondering if there are any other games like Gundam 00?
I absolutely love it cause its a visceral button mashing giant robot game.
I like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, but it mixes 2d story/2d minigames in with 3d robot fighting.Monster Lab is a lot like that too.

I'm surprised nobody has given the transformers games props yet!
I find those to be some of the most immersive 3d environments on the ds yet. theres quite a bit of depth to those games. even if the graphics aren't so pretty.
Other highlights for 3d games would be EA's Skate It and the two latest Tony Hawk games.

I have to say metroid prime hunter, fully 3D enviorment with insane model and texture, so hard to believe it is a DS game, it looks just like some early PC games.

and...

2: the legend of zelda

3: nanostray series

4: mario kart DS

5: animal crossing

Best 3D as in.. gameplay or in terms of how it looks?

I'm gonna guess in terms of gameplay.

In no particular order:

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle - Ring of Fates (for multiplayer purpose)
Metroid Prime Hunters (for multiplayer as well)
Mario Kart (For multiplayer again..)
Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword (this game isn't actually 3D, but gives the illusion of one)
Dragonball Origins

Edit: I haven't included Phantasy Star Zero because I haven't played it yet. I'm going to wait for the English version. But, I'm pretty sure it'll be up there.

But to continue my list..
Gundam 00
Super Mario 64 DS
