If you have a usb drive which is self powered (gets its power from the usb, not from a mains socket) and has 2 leads, is there any way to get the microphone to work? It is possible to use a hub? Or could I attach the power only usb lead to, say, a laptop or something so that it can draw power? Thanks.

A hub will work to some extent
