I would love to just delete my wifi settings, but I'm not sure how to set an internal network for the Wii U, otherwise, I would probably take that route. If it's not too much trouble, could you point me to a tutorial on how to set this private network?

You can just go into settings and delete them, then you know your system won't connect to anything while powered down.

As for an internal network, there isn't really any trick to it as it is just what it sounds like. I keep a second wifi access point going that has some stuff on it I don't want to connect to the internet (Playstation TV, Wii U, a Raspberry Pi, ect.)

lol, I am 33 and can tell you most of the under 16 crowd here at gba temp have more knowledge learned in the last five minutes than you have learned in 34 years.
Personally i think the web should be split into two categories: people with logic and knowledge. And morons......(wanna guess where you fall in line at??)

I can tell you exactly who he is. Even have a couple pics of him.

With my current settings, I can just disable my Wii U's internet access completely by closing or disabling psvproxy. I'm not sure on the specifics, but I guess it's like using an invalid proxy to access the internet PSVproxy is disabled.

As for the internal network, I really have no idea how t o set one up. Is it possible to create a second (update blocking) wifi point like yours without a proper router? I'm actually really interested in the idea of making an offline wifi point with self hosted files, as my ISP is pretty unstable, and stops working all the time, while my network itself is rock-solid. So, setting up an offline internet would probably work well with exploits that rely on using the internet. I tried googling, but couldn't really find out anything like this setup yet.

Reset network unplug lan job done
Uh, wouldn't that just disable the internet altogether though? I want to restrict my Wii U internet for most/all things, except for self hosted pages. I may have a lousy ISP, but me and everyone in this household still need it to breath... er, access the internet on all the other devices (it's a wifi modem/mostly gutted router hybrid).

There's an update coming out March 31st, which can possibly mean anything. So if I were you, I'd block updates, TEST THEM NOW (if you already have them) and DO NOT UPDATE.

If you update and it patches the kernel exploit and we release it and you can't use it, don't come on here and whine please, because I'm giving a nice heads-up to those who want homebrew/piracy/whatever.

If you have not tried to block yet, here you go.
