There are around 105 files that need to be translated, 136 kilobytes in size. it really is a lot...

No, the script files are around 1~3 megs

The Script folder doesn't have any files with text IIRC and neither do the .scb files, all the script text is either in the stXX.ttd or in the storyXX.ttd files, I can't remember...

those ARE the script files that i am talking about

I either am really stupid which seems to be the case or the whole text folder really isn't bigger than 1MB, it looks more like 164 KB to me

So, I'll leave the graphics hacking/editing to you kosheh since you're much better at it.
Now, we only need someone willing to translate all the text.

so I've done the top menu (New, Continue and the Mode Select options) but silly as it was, I was slightly serious about Pimp Trucker.

See, in Japanese the name translates to "Rumbling Engine Decotruck Legend". A "Deco Truck" is a rather Japanese concept - it's a blinged-out/pimped out truck. They usually have neon-lit chassis, murals on the side and ridiculous lighting.

The most Western idea there is like this is the stuff you'll see on "Pimp My Ride".

hence my awkward logic for "trucker pimp" or "pimp truck" - who I assume would be a truck enthusiast who privately owns a truck [not used for business] and pimps it out purely for hobby.

So, just out of boredom to test Noitora's font adjustments I took it upon myself to test out the text.
And so, I'm translating the first chapter.
Using 3 machine translations and an Japanese-English dictionary.

Of course, I took a few liberties and you can see that I've colloquialised the script to suit the main character's attitude.

hey noitora maybe you should ask watarukun or psycoblaster or perhaps neoxephon to help you in translating the game. i am really looking forward to this game,im barely learning how to translate games but if i new i would help you out all the way.
