i try several GBA Games but this exploader.nds cant direct link to games .it give error and force you to press A button to shut down DSi.

sorry, but it wont work to direct launch on a DSi, because GBAexploader is an emulator for slot-2 (the GBA slot on DS(L) consoles).
the original question asker has a DS with an Ewin 2in1 slot2 cart.

Total newb, when I try to run nitrozip.exe, it just flashes? How do I zip the roms up? thanks again, Tried disabling av, no luck. I can zip them if I edit the compress.bat and manually place each name.ext in quotes after placing the rom in the same directory.....Why wont nitrozip manager open..grrr

fat16 for a 2gig or under. for 4gig and up use fat32.
For smoother scrolling and GUI performance, BassAce recommends allocating clusters at 64k, but ive found that moonshell2 doesnt like it formatted like that. i have mine at 32k clusters.
you can use command prompt to get it formatted, 'X' being your SD card.
Code:
format X: /Q /A:32k /FS:FAT32

Im new to BAGPlug and wandered a couple things
1. When I try to load a commerical rom it says open with internal or eos 1.11 whats the difference? and when i click either it sends me to the dstwo plugin menu screen and I have to click back on the BAGPlug menu and then it loads the game is that normal?
2. When your in BAGPlug is there a way to quit out back into the dstwo plugin menu?

For commercial roms, there is no difference between Internal or EOS, internal redirects loading to EOS. For homebrew though, you could use the BAGPlug internal loader (based on homebrew menu loader) or use EOS to launch the homebrew.

For your problem loading games, you have to set your DSTwo.nds (in the /_dstwo folder) file to the one that comes with BAGPlug, this means BAGPlug will be the first thing that loads on your card. Otherwise when the system reboots, it can't boot the proper nds file to forward information to the correct loaders and get you into your game.

If you keep your old DSTwo.nds (the non-BAGPlug one), you can run that in BAGPlug to open the plugin menu.

just received my DSTWO in the mail, got my BAGPLUG menu to load fine but my covers still wont show up on the top screen!!!

i have a CoverArt.ini in the root of the card and the iNI contains this.

"#path to folder with covers
folder = \_bagui\covers\NDS rest
#image type
type = png"

please tell me what the fuck am I doing wrong? D:

You need to use forward slashes ( / ) rather than back slashes ( \ ) in the folder path. Also try moving CoverArt.ini to the /_bagui/user files/ folder.

New path should look like:
folder = /_bagui/covers/NDS rest

okay, did that and even changed the file ext to .ini and put CoverArt.ini in BOTH the root AND the user files folder. no covers.

Have you changed the name of the gamecover pictures?
they need to be named after there game ID
e.g A2DE.png instead of newmariobros.png

nope. dragged and dropped "NDS REST" folder in another folder called "covers" ...didn't change anything.

I even tried to use the BAG default example CoverArt.ini file

[Cover Art]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/cover art/nds
#image type
type = png

put my covers in the folder listed and still. no. freaking. covers. on.the.top.screen.

heres a snippet from my CoverArt.ini
Code:
[NES]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/covers/NES
#image type
type = png

[NDS]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/covers/homebrew
#image type
type = png

[nzip]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/covers/ds
#image type
type = png

[plg]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/covers/homebrew
#image type
type =  png

[sfc]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/covers/SNES
#image type
type = png

looking at your example, youre missing the top line [NDS] for the path.

yes..all my yes's..thank you so much!

now If I could edit these arg files or know how to edit them....argh.

glad to help=)
if yer gonna be direct booting NES, SNES, etc. heres some game covers for emulators that I sized up for BAGplug.

edit: now that GameYob is out and supports argv, i think i need to make some GB/GBC covers=)

edit too: the arg is just a txt file with an .arg extension. right-click the .arg file and set its properties to open with wordpad or notepad.

you are a saint. thank you so much! do these NES and SNES rom covers also use the internal name? how do I set up BAGplug to boot SCDS2 emulators? o_O

The emulators and homebrew use the regular ol' file name for covers like
Super Bat Puncher Demo.nes.png
Super Bat Puncher Demo.nes

The prefix of the arg is the games extension like .nes or .smc. so, as an example, to direct boot NES games you'd make an nes.arg something like this
Code:
nesDS:
"/_bagui/programs/NES.nds"//file path
[$PRGMPATH$,$FILEPATH$]//arguments are separated by commas
;

for SNES youd make a sfc.arg, or smc.arg, depending on what yer snes games extensions are
Code:
CATSFC:
"/_bagui/programs/catsfc.plg"//file path
[$PRGMPATH$,$FILEPATH$]//arguments are separated by commas
;

Ive never heard of this GameYob before and you say it supports argv? you tested that yet?
if so im gonna have to get all my gb covers from google! if the emulator is as good as lameboy that is

alright! with your help..got CATSFC working fine in BAGPLUG but I cant seem to get covers to display for SNES .sfc's.

I have the cover directory set as
[sfc]
#path to folder with covers
folder = /_bagui/covers/SNES
#image type
type = png

one I have in a SNES folder in the root is "Contra III - The Alien Wars (USA).sfc"

the image for this game is called "Contra III - The Alien Wars (USA).png" and is located in folder, "
/_bagui/covers/SNES

do the images have to be located in the same folder as the .sfc's?

when I renamed the .png to ".sfc.png" it froze my card every time the ROM was highlighted..i'm getting there though!

say..could I also create an arg file for GBA games?..or too soon :lol:

and what about these custom icons?...I got the pack for them at filetrip..how do I use them though? :rofl:
