There hasn't been an OFFICIAL release yet. As in the CFW is still in it's VERY EARLY STAGES and not ready for general consumption. There was a release date for the 15th(So yesterday) but that was just a general date, nothing official. So, in a sense, there hasn't been any official release YET

Yes, but as a part of VS. CTC still requires a VB course (using VS) for an associate's. Declared deprecated in 2008, I see (now ), but here it is mentioned just last year: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/ide/tutorial-visual-basic-console.
So perhaps VB as a stand-alone thing was deprecated, but not the language? Excel and Access certainly has built-in support for the language and allows for doing cool things...

A USB-C cable is required to upload the payload once the console is in RCM.
I think that article is actually about VB.NET. Maybe they just "renamed" it after its predecessor or something

there is not. Just wait a couple of weeks. probably someone will come out with a method without so much fuckery. It's really not worth it.
If you read the tutorial in the beginning you would know it's pretty easy for the end user...

One thing is dropping some files in a sd card, another is patching kernels and modifying hex files. Anyways, everyone agrees that this method is pretty shit, right?
It's not shit, just complicated and not for everyone. Advanced users probably have an easier time using this method

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
