Script wont run for me, opens up a DOS window but instantly closes it

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Why pay when we can have something for free? Sure it might take a little longer and early methods like this one may not be for everyone but it's something at least
Did you get script working? It just closes straight away for me

i get this error trying to use the script

Invalid NCA header! Are keys correct?
Done!
Extracting RomFs
Invalid NCA header! Are keys correct?

i used a guide from this forum in order to get my keys

Not sure what you are talking about. Not only have I found this independently, I was the first person who described the method publicly. I first described it in the SimonMKWii discord way before Simon or anyone else did.

Genius!

The new name for this mod is the Jan4VnxLoader.

Yes by month? but people like you dont recognized this is cfw already lol..
There hasn't been an OFFICIAL release yet. As in the CFW is still in it's VERY EARLY STAGES and not ready for general consumption. There was a release date for the 15th(So yesterday) but that was just a general date, nothing official. So, in a sense, there hasn't been any official release YET

Yes, but as a part of VS. CTC still requires a VB course (using VS) for an associate's. Declared deprecated in 2008, I see (now ), but here it is mentioned just last year: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/ide/tutorial-visual-basic-console.

So perhaps VB as a stand-alone thing was deprecated, but not the language? Excel and Access certainly has built-in support for the language and allows for doing cool things...

Last edited by urherenow,
do you still need a usb-c cable or can you hack your switch with a sd card and jig alone?
A USB-C cable is required to upload the payload once the console is in RCM.

I think that article is actually about VB.NET. Maybe they just "renamed" it after its predecessor or something

So is there already a method for „normal“ users to use it on the switch?
Understand how to extract the exefs and romfs from the games but don‘t know where to find the files for the cfw which have to be run at the switch (fs_mitm containing cfw as called in the tutorial i found)

there is not. Just wait a couple of weeks. probably someone will come out with a method without so much fuckery. It's really not worth it.

If you read the tutorial in the beginning you would know it's pretty easy for the end user...

You're overestimating the end user lol

One thing is dropping some files in a sd card, another is patching kernels and modifying hex files. Anyways, everyone agrees that this method is pretty shit, right?

It's not shit, just complicated and not for everyone. Advanced users probably have an easier time using this method
